Ciaraleaf Meaney is a Creative Director, based in New York.
I specialize in creating compelling brand experiences across all media channels,
working with fashion brands from both agency and brand side.
My brand experience has ranged from working for Bloomingdale's as the omni-channel
Associate Creative Director, responsible for all visual marketing for 5 departments with
a team of 9 multi-disciplinary Art Directors & Designers, to Jack Wills as the Digital Design Manager (where the late Richard Nicolls was at the creative helm) where I led the relaunch of their global digital flagship, launched their online editorial platform, while establishing new collaborative processes for the print & digital teams.
Prior to that I have worked with the pioneering agency Story Worldwide, a founded by an investigative journalist and the front man of a seminal post-punk band Gang of Four, which specialized in content-led brand solutions in the post-advertising era. As Deputy Design Director, I collaborated with the editorial, design and copywriting teams to produce omni-channel brand solutions such as re-positioning Jo Malone's global digital flagship and helping re-launch Jaeger's digital brand position.

Ciara is a brilliant creative. Over the years I’ve worked with her on everything from pitch concepts to digital, film and print executions. She excels in every situation. It’s a measure of her ability and value to Story that, without fail, whenever a new big opportunity comes in, the first question that’s asked is which copywriter do we have available to work with Ciara on this?
It’s simply assumed that she will be the art director.
What makes her special, though, is not just her creative talent, it’s how easy she is to work with and what a good collaborator she is. Whether she’s managing or partnering with other creatives, she knows how to get the best from them, directing when necessary, but usually subtly coaching and prompting to help get the right result. Personally, she extremely easy going – one of only a handful of creatives I’ve ever worked with who’s unencumbered by ego. It’s no coincidence, I think, that most of the work I’ve done at Story that I like best was projects where I worked with Ciara. She’s a huge talent and I would recommend her to anyone.
